Limited Permit Marriage and Family Therapist
Krysta Mannion, M.A., LPMFT
When thinking about what to include in my bio, I ran through the list of the theories I typically use, my history in the field and my educational background. Then it occurred to me-you probably don’t really care. And that’s okay.
I’m a big believer in meeting my clients where they are. Most of the time there is a “fire” going on in one’s life that leads them to consider therapy and I don’t want to add to the flames. If you’re here chances are you have a lot going on in your life right now and that should be acknowledged.
Therapy is hard. It’s scary and difficult and sometimes the very last thing you want to do. So it is my top priority that you feel welcomed, safe, and encouraged during the process. It is my promise to you that I will hold space for you as you are AND actively work with you to reach your therapeutic goals.
Now if you’ve made it this far and really want to know some facts about me and who I am as a person/therapist here you go- I tend to work from a systemic, collaborative, and strength-based approach. I have experience working as an intern for a certified sex therapist and am a SafeZone trained ally for the LGBTQIA+ community. I work with couples, individuals and adolescents.
I’m a sucker for dry humor and sarcasm, I always return my shopping cart to the corral even if it’s raining out, and I will spend entirely too much time scrolling on TikTok after a long day.
I’d love to schedule a first session with you to see if we are a good fit or to help you find someone who is.
